Our Services
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Sessions (EAP):
EAP sessions are where an equine professional parters with a licensed mental health professional , through the Natural Lifemanship Institute and Eagala models to bring in the horses into a clients therapeutic experience to enhance their treatment. EAP often works well for clients that are looking for something a bit different than traditional talk therapy. EAP is experiential in nature and utilizes the inherent traits of horses as highly social, incredibly aware, prey animals that rely on reading non-verbal communication for survival. These sessions also draw heavily from somatic practices to regulate the nervous system and to release trauma patterns.
Beginning in 2026, we are excited to begin offering EAP again with licensed therapist, Aimee Klabunde and equine professional Jenat Botaish. Sessions are 60 minutes in length and are $120 per session. We are not ion network with insurance but can provide a superbill for your insurance provider and some clients may be able to get partial reimbursement through their insurance provider. Equine Assisted Learning Sessions:
EAL sessions are not focused on horsemanship skills, although they are still incorporated, but are focused on helping the client develop more self-awareness, coping skills, and nervous system regulation in partnership with the horses. Both unmounted and mounted activities can be utilized depending on the client’s needs and goals. Lacy offers individual EAL sessions in her program as well as group EAL workshops and sessions in partnership with other educators and mental health professionals. Some group sessions are geared towards more academic goals, such as reading skills for children. Others are focused on general wellness and mental health, incorporating various modalities such as mindfulness and breath work.
